The wildchurch sound is produced on highly specialised equipment. Random sweeps are passed through the ether as the operator throws various switches in quick succession. The haphazard manner in which this process is conducted, causes the needle on a display dial to flicker erratically. Once contact is established, the received transmissions are fed through a converter which outputs audio signals. When listened to on HiFi equipment, these signals somewhat resemble music.
